Last week I caught up with our engineers, builders, and the cleaning crew that have been hard at work repairing the Brisbane Circus Centre. Works are progressing well, the next big job is to remove the roof, clean the remaining smoke damage, and install a new roof. At this stage we expect to be back at home around June-July this year.

In the meantime, we have moved our circus school classes to Superordinary, just a few metres down the road from the Brisbane Circus Centre. It’s lovely to be back close to home even if we’re not back in the building yet.

Last week I also travelled out to Charleville to join our touring crew who are running residency programs and performing our new show The Cubby across South West Queensland. Many of the children in the audience at Charleville Town Hall had been part of the creative development – it was amazing to hear them respond to their stories on stage.
