Specialist spaces to make quality contemporary circus shows are difficult to come by. Spaces like Flipside gives us independent artists the ability to train, create and make work. Having a base or a creative home like Flipside has given Casus the ability to create freely. Proudly much of our work that was born in Flipside grace stages all around the world.

The performance was first class and a wonderful treat for our guests, including international Mayors, city leaders and delegates. It was wonderful to highlight our local talent to these special guests. I enjoyed it immensely and have received overwhelmingly positive feedback.

It’s a great place, friendly staff and lots of good people about. I attend Adult classes at night and am really enjoying the culture. I’m doing things that I’ve never done before, especially from childhood. From a fitness and core perspective some nights can be intense, but they really cater well to the abilities of the class. My flexibility is woeful but I’m making greater progress than I have in years. A fun way to exercise! They live up to the values listed on their website and I feel they’ve got a lot of integrity. I recommend it for everybody to at least try once.

ATYP has been closely following the community engagement and workshop model used by Flipside to deliver programs in regional Queensland and forge ongoing relationships with regional towns and centres. This program reflects best practice nationally and is something that many leading professional companies are scrambling to replicate.

From the age of 10 through to even now as a 24-year-old professional circus performer Flipside has always been the organisation to support me. I have performed on stages all around the world representing Queensland artists globally and am still reliant on it now for my career.

Flipside Circus a great organisation teaching gymnastic skills in a fun and nurturing way. Taking in age groups from the very young to the fully grown, physical and mental confidence is encouraged and developed using circus performance skills and acts. This approach is particularly embraced by the youngest members (pre-high school). A great community atmosphere which embraces students, instructors, other staff, parents, family and friends. Highly recommended for children seeking something physically different and less competitive then other team sports.

The trainers were just terrific with our kids. Everyone loved the activities which were good for a range of skill levels and ages. Thanks for a really memorable day, and for making our party prep low-stress!

The day was a huge success, with everyone having a great time… we all tried things we would never have tried before and I think we all laughed harder than we had in a while. I highly recommend the Flipside experience to any business looking for a fun and different team building activity.

The Manly Harbour Village Halloween Street Party welcomed Flipside Circus as part of our activities. The popularity of their presence was reflected in the continuous line up of young and old during the afternoon to experience the trapeze and learn various other circus skills that were offered during the event.

The day went brilliantly, a great choice of activities that covered all experience and capabilities.  The trainers were wonderful and the kids were really excited and enjoyed themselves.

We have been unable to keep up with the demand and community members wanting to see more workshops. (And) received overwhelming positive feedback from the community.

Flipside fills a fundamental and necessary role in this industry that allows the propagation of new emerging artists, new art, and new ideas. Having a purpose built dedicated space of their own is key to their growth and I believe vital to the sectors growth also.

I commend you guys on what you do. I believe you are literally saving the lives of future generations and not only in the physical sense but social, emotional, occupational, intellectual, and wellness. Great venue for learning how to be part of a circus!!! The trainers are very friendly and excellent at working with kids of all ages and skills. The kids start off learning basic floor skills, tumbling, cartwheels, jumping, somersaults etc. They then start to learn more advanced skills like trapeze, silk/rope acrobatics, juggling and others. Great overall experience!!

This was fabulous! A huge success – both parents and children enjoyed the time. Very easy to book and very accommodating of last-minute changes, thank you!
