Flipside Circus is delighted to be returning to the Brisbane Circus Centre after a challenging year marked by a devastating fire and months of operating from temporary venues. The Circus will resume classes and performances at its beloved home from Monday 9 September, 2024, marking a significant milestone in its recovery.

In January 2024, the Brisbane Circus Centre suffered extensive damage due to a fire that disrupted the organisation’s operations and impacted the community of families and young people who hold Flipside Circus dear. Since then, the dedicated Flipside team has worked tirelessly to repair and restore their home, ensuring that it meets the highest safety and quality standards.

“We are overjoyed to finally be coming home,” said Robert Kronk, CEO/Artistic Director of Flipside Circus. “The past months have been incredibly challenging. But we’ve been buoyed by the overwhelming support of our community, partners, and friends. Returning to the Brisbane Circus Centre represents a physical homecoming, the resilience of our organisation, and a new start. We can’t wait to welcome artists and our community back.”

The not-for-profit circus will celebrate its reopening with a series of performances and community events designed to thank the supporters who have stood by them throughout this journey. These events will showcase new acts and innovative performances that reflect the growth and transformation of Flipside Circus over the past few years.
