CIRCUS WEEKENDS

Circus Weekends is a celebration of community, connection, and creativity. This special event gives our students the chance to show off their circus skills for friends, family, and each other in a supportive and joyful environment. From daring aerials to playful group acts, Circus Weekends is about more than performance — it’s about building confidence, sharing progress, and strengthening the bonds that make our circus family so special. Whether it’s your first time in the audience or your tenth, you’re invited to cheer, connect, and be part of the magic.

We welcome you to the Brisbane Circus Centre to experience joyful performances from children and young people while connecting with the Flipside community. Food, drinks, and circus equipment will be available for purchase.

Information for Performers' Families

Performer Call Times: The performers are required to arrive 30 minutes before their session to warm-up and complete any final preparations. Exact times are specified in the schedule above. Upon arrival, students are to meet their trainers and peers on the Studio side of the Brisbane Circus Centre. They are to remain there until after their performance when they are welcome to join the festivities. Performing students are not required to purchase a ticket to the event.

After dropping your child off for their call time you are welcome to stay at the Circus Centre. We will be serving food and drinks in the backyard.

COSTUME REQUIREMENTS

The students work with their trainers to decide on a theme for their classes performance. Costumes are to be provided by students. We encourage you to use items you already own instead of purchasing anything especially for the event. For simplicity, the theme usually boils down to a colour, e.g. under the sea could be blue, life in the jungle could be green.

See below for costume requirements for each class (click/tap to expand).
