The Cubby

A NEW SHOW BY FLIPSIDE CIRCUS DEVELOPED WITH REGIONAL AND REMOTE COMMUNITIES – PREMIERING IN 2024

About The Cubby

A non-stop, action-filled circus show about cubbies, children’s hidden worlds, big dreams, and trampolines.

The Cubby celebrates the limitless imagination, ingenuity, and resilience of bush kids and bush communities. It brings stories from regional and remote communities to life with fantastic circus skills and Flipside’s renowned circus aesthetic. The show explores themes of risk, play, place, and identity.

The Cubby is a brand-new work by the award-winning Flipside Circus, it builds on our highly popular residency and workshop programs and has been created with regional and remote Queensland communities.

The Cubby will be on tour from early 2024. If you’re interested in helping The Cubby come to your town please contact us – gabriela@flipsidecircus.org.au

"A funny, skilful, and creative exploration of the importance of play and imagination."
